Overview
I am Stuart Buchanan, a music producer, writer, and performer based in London, where I also am from. I am a pianist vocalist and multi instrumentalist with a large performing experience.
I am also a writer and producer of music across a wide range of genres. This includes ambient electronic music, pop music, film soundtracks using electronic and acoustic instruments, contemporary classical music, choral music, and more.
I am a graduate in music from both the University of Sheffield, and the London College of Contemporary Music.
Pianist Vocalist
I studied music at the university of Sheffield which included study of performance. Since then I have performed many gigs around London with friends, as part of bands and ensembles. I am an experienced and confident performer. I also write songs regularly, alone and with friends.

Producer Composer
As a music producer and composer, I make electronic and acoustic music that is suitable as a background for films and videos. I create across many different genres, but primarily ambient electronic and contemporary classical.
I have a lot of studio experience and have also been an audio technician for recordings of the University of Sheffield Symphony Orchestra.

Experimental Projects
I also have a keen interest in experimental music. I recently finished a project where I explored Gregorian chant in more contemporary styles (electronic, ambient, indie). Here I used Gregorian chant melodies and mix them with contemporary styles. I have a deep respect for musical traditions but also am keen always to try to push boundaries and experiment around with music. Here is an example of my work from this project:
